CEDA is looking to hire a General Labourer - Groundskeeping & Janitorial at AOC Leismer in Conklin.   

This position is ideal for a semi-retired journeyman pipefitter who enjoys staying active through hands-on work and is looking for a flexible, lower-pressure role maintaining the grounds and facilities of AOC Leismer, while remaining connected to the oilfield industry and its day-to-day operations.

What we offer:

• $30.00 per hour
• Shift: 14x14, with 12 hour days (compressed work schedule, no overtime unless you work outside the set schedule and hours)

• Camp provided - no travel or travel allowance

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain outdoor areas including mowing, weed trimming and general lawn care around facilities
• Clean and maintain walkways, entrances and common outdoor areas
• Maintaining safe work practices
• Perform general labour tasks such as moving supplies, unloading deliveries, snow removal (if applicable) and basic site clean up
• Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
• Assist Maintenance and facilities operations staff as needed
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with all safety policies and OH&S standards

Role Specifications:

• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping or general labour in an oilfield setting
• Valid Class 5 licence (non GDL) with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
• Physically able to lift 50lbsm perform manual work in varying outdoor conditions
• The following tickets are required: H2S Alive, standard first aid and CSO or CSTS2020
• Basic mechanical aptitude and experience using small tools and lawn / yard care equipment
• Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, booked by CEDA
• Ability to work well in both independent and team environments and manage multiple tasks while working under minimal supervision
