The
Technical Delivery Lead (TDL)
will be a key member of the Canada leadership team responsible for planning and delivery of technical services on projects in Canada during the full lifecycle of these projects to achieve outstanding client experience and satisfaction. The Technical Delivery Lead is expected to work closely and collaboratively with the Canada Leadership, Geographic Quality Manager (GQM), Geographic Director of Projects (GDOP), Canada Managers of Projects (MOPs), Canada Group Leaders (GLs), and Regional Solution Leads (RSLs) to achieve these goals. As the Technical Delivery Lead, your main responsibilities will be to

- Drive and elevate a culture of disciplined design delivery across our portfolio of projects to continuously enhance Jacobs performance through the consistent delivery of high quality, value added solutions and services to our clients.
- Support MOPs to translate disciplined technical services delivery into improved financial and schedule performance across our portfolio of projects.
- Identify opportunities to innovate our project delivery methodologies and tools and also be a key driver in both the proposal and implementation phases of projects.
- Supports MoPs to ensure compliance with all Project Execution Group (PEG) /Quality policies, project delivery procedures, technical services delivery policies and procedures, protocols and work instructions and appropriate use of all mandated project tools.
- Support MOPs, Project Managers and Design Managers to (a) develop technical delivery approaches and the Engineering Technical Execution Plans, (b) plan, manage and control technical services delivery, and (c) to oversee completion of stage gate reviews in Jacobs design deliverables sequence.
- Support MOPs, Project Managers, Design Managers, Group Leaders, RSLs, and the Geographic Quality Manager to plan, manage and monitor project quality control, including the identification of qualified technical staff to perform technical reviews and quality control.
- Support GDOP, GQM and MOPs through active engagement in mitigation of projects with design delivery challenges.
- Ensures mandatory technical reviews and checks are completed at the appropriate stages in the project lifecycle prior to client delivery.
- Ensures completion of constructability and operability reviews during design phases.
- Ensures lessons learned are compiled, managed, and shared with design and construction teams.
Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; eligibility for professional engineering (P.Eng.) designation in Canada is preferred.
- 25+ years of progressive experience in the planning, execution, and delivery of technical services on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery, design management, or project engineering within a consulting engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks, including technical execution planning, design lifecycle management, and stage gate processes.
- Proven ability to drive quality, compliance, and consistency in technical deliverables, with solid knowledge of PEG/Quality policies, procedures, and mandated project tools.
- Experience collaborating with Project Managers, Managers of Projects (MOPs), Design Managers, Group Leaders, and Quality teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Demonstrated capability to lead and support technical reviews, quality control, constructability reviews, and operability assessments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide inspirational, inclusive, and values driven guidance to diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across a matrixed organization..

140,500.00
Posted Salary Range Upper
185,000.00
The base salary range for this position is $140,500.00 to $185, This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across Ontario, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
