L'usine ABB Measurement & Analytics de Québec est le leader mondial en spectroscopie. Notre département d'ingénierie contractuelle est le plus grand fournisseur canadien de capteurs optiques spatiaux utilisés pour la surveillance des gaz à effet de serre et les prévisions météorologiques à l'échelle mondiale, entre autres.

Notre usine est reconnue pour son expertise dans le développement et la fabrication de divers produits qui nous permettent de répondre quotidiennement à de nombreux besoins en analyses industrielles.

En rejoignant l'un des plus grands départements d'ingénierie du Québec (Canada), vous ferez partie d'une équipe dynamique et multidisciplinaire. Vous superviserez et orienterez le développement d'instruments dans le domaine spatial et de la défense (SDS). Vous devrez assurer leur livraison réussie, dans les délais, dans le respect du budget et des normes de qualité et de sécurité.

L'ingénieur ou le scientifique que nous recherchons possède un fort esprit d'analyse, est autonome, capable de travailler au sein d'une équipe multidisciplinaire et a de l'expérience en recherche et développement pour la conception et l'analyse de systèmes d'instruments spatiaux.

Votre rôle : Relevez le défi

  • Engagement client et communication : Agir en tant que principal contact technique auprès des clients, comprendre leurs besoins, maintenir une relation de confiance et présenter les projets en français et en anglais.
  • Leadership en ingénierie système : Définir et gérer les exigences système, les budgets techniques et les risques tout en assurant la conformité du système.
  • Coordination de projet : Collaborer avec les chefs de projet et les ingénieurs pour planifier les échéanciers, suivre les actions techniques et animer les réunions techniques selon la méthodologie Agile.
  • Tests et validation : Travailler en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe d'intégration et de test pour élaborer les plans de test et les stratégies de validation.
  • Amélioration des processus et planification : Estimer les efforts requis pour les nouveaux projets et améliorer les outils d'ingénierie système, y compris l'approche MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering).

Ce qu'il vous faut:

  • Baccalauréat en sciences ou en ingénierie (ou équivalent), avec au moins 12 ans d'expérience en ingénierie système pour des instruments optiques infrarouges dans le domaine spatial ou de la télédétection.
  • Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes, prise de décision et documentation ; connaissance des normes de l'industrie spatiale telles que INCOSE, CMMI, MIL-STD et ISO.
  • Maîtrise des outils suivants : MagicDraw (MBSE), Windchill, Primavera Client, SAP, suite Microsoft Office, Matlab ou Python.
  • Orienté résultats, collaboratif et axé client, avec une capacité démontrée à suivre des procédures standards et à contribuer aux initiatives du spatial 2.0.
  • Parfaitement bilingue en français et en anglais. Le français est requis. L'anglais est également essentiel pour communiquer régulièrement avec des clients à l'extérieur du Québec.

ABB Measurement & Analytics plant in Québec is the world leader in spectroscopy. Our contract engineering department is Canada's largest supplier of space optical sensors used for greenhouse gas emissions monitoring and weather forecasting worldwide, among other things.

Our plant is known for its expertise in the development and manufacture of various products that enable us to meet several industrial analyses needs on a daily basis. By joining one of the largest engineering departments in Québec (Canada), you will be part of a dynamic and multidisciplinary engineering team. You will oversee and guide the development of instruments in the space and defense (SDS) domain. You must ensure their successful and on-time delivery, within budget and in compliance with quality and safety guidelines.

The engineer or scientist we seek has a strong sense of reasoning, is autonomous, can work within a multidisciplinary team and has experience with research and development for system conception and analysis for space instrument.

Your Role: Own the Challenge

  • Client Engagement & Communication: Serve as the main technical contact for clients, understanding their needs, maintaining trust, and delivering presentations in both French and English.
  • Systems Engineering Leadership: Define and manage system requirements, technical budgets, and risks while ensuring system conformity.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and engineers to plan schedules, track technical actions, and lead Agile-based technical meetings.
  • Testing & Validation: Work closely with the Test and Integration team to develop test plans and validation strategies.
  • Process Improvement & Planning: Estimate effort for new projects and enhance systems engineering tools, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

What It Takes To Run What Runs The World

  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering (or equivalent) with at least 12 years of experience in systems engineering for infrared optical instruments in space or remote sensing.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and documentation abilities; familiar with space industry standards like INCOSE, CMMI, MIL-STD, and ISO.
  • Skilled in MagicDraw (MBSE), Windchill, Primavera Client, SAP, Office Suite, and Matlab or Python.
  • Results-driven, collaborative, and client-focused with a proven ability to follow standard procedures and contribute to space 2.0 initiatives.
  • Fully bilingual in French and English, with French required and English essential for communication with clients outside Quebec.
