Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 2 Early Childhood Educator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and personalised care.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
  • Manage daily classroom routines, ensuring a safe and organised environment for children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and behavioural updates
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and behaviour
  • Foster inclusive behaviour and encourage positive interactions among children
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations at all times

Requirements

  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • A caring attitude with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative and organisational skills
  • Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certificate (Level 3)
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Clear Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Valid Food Safety Certificate
