Indigenous Cultural Coordinator

Auxiliary On Call as Needed

Duties: This is an auxiliary position to backfill the regular, full-time position (full-time description attached). Reporting to the Executive Director of Indigenization, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity, the Indigenous Cultural Coordinator supports student well-being through culturally grounded programming, while advancing Indigenous ways of knowing across the College. The role fosters strong relationships with students, Elders, communities, and employees, and collaborates closely with the Indigenous Student Success Coordinator to provide reciprocal cross-coverage during absences and key events.

Qualifications: Certificate in Indigenous Studies, Social Work, or a related discipline. University Studies Diploma or an Associate of Arts Degree in Indigenous Studies, Social Work is desirable. Minimum three years of experience planning and delivering cultural programming and events and experience providing holistic support to Indigenous learners.

Salary: Position#206

Auxiliary

CUPE Pay Level 5 with a starting wage of $29.94 per hour with increments progressing to Step 5 as per CUPE Collective Agreement (this includes 8% in lieu of benefits and vacation).
