Events Planner & Social Media Coordinator

We are looking for an Events Planner & Social Media Coordinator who is a dual-threat: a logistical mastermind who can orchestrate a complex trade show from scratch, and a digital storyteller who can capture the grit and soul of our brand through a lens.

This isn't a "party planning" job. This is a high-impact role where you are the architect of our internal culture and the voice of our external brand. You are the one who ensures our 500+ person events go off without a hitch and our social feeds look like the industry leader we are. What We're Looking For

  • Logistical Dominance: You don't just book a venue. You negotiate the contract, secure the permits, map the floor plan, and manage the teardown. You are the first one in and the last one out.
  • The Digital Eye: You have a social-first brain. You see a transformer being installed and immediately know how to turn it into a high-performing 15-second Reel.
  • Extreme Ownership: From tracking every dollar of sponsorship money to ensuring an employee's promotion letter is perfect, you treat every task as a reflection of your professional standards.
  • The Un-Corporate Corporate: We provide the resources and the stability of a giant, but we want the scrappy, "get-it-done" energy of a startup. No bureaucracy, just execution.

Your Primary Objectives

As the steward of our presence and our people, your success will be measured by:

  • The "Zero-Hitch" Event: Executing everything from internal lunch-and-learns to massive industry trade shows. When the curtain rises, every vendor, staff member, and piece of equipment is exactly where it needs to be.
  • Social Growth & Engagement: Turning our daily operations into engaging content. You'll maintain the calendar, track the KPIs, and use data to prove our brand is winning online.
  • Cultural Glue: Managing the nitty gritty things that make a big difference- employee awards, baby gifts, town hall presentations, and holiday parties. You keep the Smith and Long family connected.
  • Sponsorship Mastery: Relentlessly pursuing and securing sponsorship funds from our supplier network to ensure our major events are world-class without breaking the bank.

Who You Are

  • The Tactical Producer: You can visualize a venue layout in your head and translate it into a flawlessly executed event. You manage "people traffic" and vendor chaos with total composure.
  • Content Creator & Analyst: You don't just "post to post." You understand brand consistency, community management, and how to use Google Analytics to see what's actually working.
  • Negotiation Grit: You are comfortable pushing vendors for better pricing and suppliers for higher sponsorship tiers. You treat the company's money like your own.
  • Meticulous Record-Keeper: You thrive on organized documentation. Whether it's an RSVP list or a trade show insurance certificate, you have it filed and ready.
  • The Swiss Army Knife: You're comfortable jumping on the phones if reception is busy, helping HR with job posting designs, or updating the company website.

  • Strategic Event Execution: Coordinating all logistics (permits, vendors, layout) so that Project Managers and Executives can simply show up and lead.
  • Content & Community Mastery: Maintaining a detailed content calendar with high-quality imagery and text that never misses a post date.
  • Organizational Discipline: Managing complex guest lists, trade show registrations, and employee recognition awards with zero errors.
  • Proactive Brand Support: Anticipating the needs of a Town Hall or company meeting by creating high-impact visual collateral before being asked.

Salary Range: $45,000 – $50,000 Annually, based on experience and skills.
