Position: ELECTRICAL SUB ASSEMBLERS
Shifts Available: Day Shift, Afternoon Shift, Weekend Shift (Hours to be determined)

MacLean Engineering & Marketing Co. Limited is looking for Electrical Sub Assemblersto join our Production team at our North Bay, ON manufacturing facility. We are seeking an ambitious and progressive candidate to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. About the Position: The Electrical Sub Assembler position is responsible for assembly and fabrication of electrical equipment, parts, and components. As well as testing electrical parts and components to ensure conformance to prescribed standards in compliance with all MEMCO policies and procedures. The position also requires the following proficiencies:
- Read and interpret basic engineering drawings/schematics to build and test electrical circuits and assemblies as specified with minimal supervision.
- Cut wires and conduit to specified length, label, and install as specified.
- Crimp wire terminals and finish as required.
- Solder connections to be tested per the solder test procedure.
- Perform fabrication functions on enclosures such as; drilling, screwing, sealing, and stamping.
- Perform basic continuity testing to ensure workmanship and materials.
- Perform accurate labor booking as directed by department Supervisors.
- Operate testing equipment (i.e. Multimeter) to inspect and troubleshoot final assembly/circuits for compliance to engineering specifications and applicable safety standards.
- Check mechanical dimension and perform "go-no-go" electrical tests.
- Advise on proper operation of parts, assemblies, systems, and equipment.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering as required to communicate details of non-conformances found during the shift, and to help formulate corrective action taken.
- Adopt and practice good housekeeping and 5S principles.
- Ability to quickly grasp Electrical component assembly concepts and apply to multiple projects.
- Abide by all applicable regulatory and company-specific safety standards.
- Abide by ISO 9001 Quality Management System and associated procedures.
- Contribute to continual improvement of safety, quality, product, production, and work environment.
- Willing to cross-train in other departments as needed on a temporary basis.
About You: The successful candidate has a positive attitude, is open minded, willing to learn and is flexible along with the following qualifications:
- Minimum High School Diploma or Certificate of Completion
- Diploma or Degree in a related discipline is preferred
- Previous Electrical experience is an asset
- Previous computer experience is an asset
- Previous experience installing, mounting, fastening, aligning and adjusting parts, components, wiring and harness to subassemblies using hand and small power tools is an asset
- Previous experience inspecting electronic components and assemblies to ensure adherence to specified requirements is an asset
- Previous experience soldering, crimping, and manually assembling various electrical wires and components is an asset
