Early Childhood Resource Specialist

The Early Childhood Resource Specialist (ECRS) will work within an interdisciplinary team to assist children and families who have been referred to Developmental Pediatrics & Rehabilitation for ASD diagnostic assessments. The ECRS will support the assessments offered through the ASD Diagnostic HUB and will assist families early in their diagnostic journeys by connecting them with internal and external agencies and resources as appropriate.
1. Diploma in Early Childhood Education or university degree in Child Studies
2. Early Childhood Resource Teacher Certificate considered an asset
3. Demonstrated knowledge of developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder and other
Neurodevelopmental Disabilities
4. 3-5 years' experience working with children/youth and families with complex special needs
5. Good working knowledge of community programs and relevant agencies
6. Demonstrated ability to function as a member of a multidisciplinary team
7. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
8. Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
9. Participation in a criminal reference screening process
