About us

Northumberland Lamb Co-operative is a small business in Bible Hill, NS B6L 2A6. Our goal is to find help in our abattoir, and processing plant. We have been in business since 1982, and are a fully farmer owned cooperative. We are looking for an experienced Meat Cutter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the meat cutting industry and be able to demonstrate a high level of skill in the preparation of various cuts of meat. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all meat is cut to the highest standards and that all safety and sanitation protocols are followed. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory and stock levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Cut, trim, and prepare meat for sale.
  • Follow food safety guidelines when handling and storing meat.
  • Operate and maintain meat cutting equipment.
  • Package and label meat products for sale.
  • Keep records of the types and amounts of meat cut.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
