PURPOSE:  Nucor Reber Fabrication is looking for a Payroll Administrator for an 18-month contract to join the Payroll/HR team. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Administrator ensures the timely processing of employee payrolls. Additionally, this position performs various analyses, reviews, reconciliations, and completion of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting activities. The Payroll Administrator works with many internal and external stakeholders to ensure the reliability and dependability of all transactions while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Processing Canadian payrolls on a weekly basisReview and verify payroll data for accuracySet up and remittance of support orders/garnishments on a weekly basis Review and remit monthly union duesPrepare payroll-related filings and supporting documentationPreparation and review of quarterly payroll reconciliations Review payroll data to identify issues and opportunities for improvementResponding to inquiries, filing and faxesThis job requires the person to work autonomously and take full responsibility for the assigned payrolls and issues that may arise, and all functions relating to the employees on the payrolls.Additional duties as required by management. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Completion of payroll program or equivalentMinimum 1-year previous payroll experience is an assetAccurate data entryCapable of meeting deadlines and prioritizing workloadAbove-average knowledge of Excel and WordStrong analytical skillsStrong accounting knowledgePeople-oriented – enjoy dealing with people daily and assisting in solving their problemsAbility to effectively communicate both orally and writtenTeam PlayerConfidentiality is a must.Preference will be given to candidates with Dayforce experience
