Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Appliance Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in appliance repair, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of household appliances, ensuring that they operate efficiently and effectively. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and the ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Duties

  • Diagnose and repair various household appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens.
  • Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform repairs on appliances in a timely manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
  • Operate a box truck for transporting tools and equipment to job sites.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Assist in the assembly of new appliances as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in appliance technology.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in appliance repair or as a service technician is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various appliance issues.
  • Familiarity with refrigeration systems and HVAC principles is advantageous.
  • Previous field service experience is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Experience as a delivery driver is beneficial for transporting equipment.
  • Basic electrical experience is required for diagnosing electrical problems in appliances.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
