Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Appliance Handyman/Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, servicing, and handling major household appliances, with Certified Gas Technician (TSSA) certification strongly preferred. This role involves in-home service, appliance delivery/installation, and ensuring safe, high-quality workmanship for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Install and service major home appliances (washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.)
  • Perform gas appliance installations (ranges, dryers, cooktops, wall ovens) in compliance with safety standards and code requirements
  • Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks as required for proper installation
  • Troubleshoot and provide minor appliance repairs when applicable
  • Deliver appliances to customer homes and safely complete in-home setups
  • Ensure all installations are level, secure, and functioning correctly before completing the job
  • Provide outstanding customer service during every service call or delivery
  • Maintain a clean work area and protect customer homes during service
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles for safety and maintenance needs
  • Complete installation/service documentation, including photos and job notes

Skills & Qualifications

  • Certified Gas Technician (G2/G3) preferred; willingness to obtain certification is an asset
  • Experience installing major household appliances required
  • Strong understanding of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on-site
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy appliances with proper equipment
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and safe material handling
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
