Job Profile:

The Custodian is responsible for cleaning areas of the various locations and office buildings.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Follow procedures for the use of all chemical cleaners.

· Maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner

· Clean building floors and stairways by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming

· Empty trash cans and recycling containers

· Dust furniture, window blinds and office equipment

· Clean and disinfect washrooms and fixtures

· Wash windows and blinds using appropriate cleaners and squeegees

· Notify management concerning the need for major repairs to buildings

· Remove snow and ice from walkways, doorways using snow shovels and spread snow melting chemicals

· Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties

General Expectations:

· Follow prescribed safety standards, rules and regulations

· Instill a safety culture; lead by example

· Identify and record non-conformities and participate in their resolution

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives

· Recommend improvements and develop improvement plans in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions

· Maintain a well-organized and clean facility as per PMP vision

· Maintain all equipment and tools per recommended procedures

· Ability to work as a respectable, professional and efficient team member

· Maintain a healthy work environment and develop employees on a professional level

Qualifications:

· Completion of Grade 12 or GED

· One year janitorial experience

· Basic knowledge of cleaning products with a willingness to learn

Shifts:

Part Time - 20 hours per week

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.35-$25.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
