Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring an enjoyable dining experience.

Duties

  • Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system, preferably Micros POS.
  • Provide menu recommendations and upsell items to enhance the guest experience.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
  • Adhere to all food safety guidelines and sanitation standards throughout service.
  • Respond to guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Assist with other restaurant duties as needed, including food handling and preparation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation protocols is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is advantageous but not mandatory.
