Assembly/Repair Technician

Rototilt Inc. is looking for an experienced and motivated assembly technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembly and test of heavy equipment attachments and tools and will have a strong technical background. The ideal person for this role is comfortable working on their feet, focused on meeting targets, and experienced in mechanical assembly, hydraulics, and controller electronics. The assembly/repair technician is also responsible for occasional rebuild, repair, and diagnostic of previously enjoyed equipment. Preference may be given to those with a demonstrated history with heavy equipment assembly and repair or hydraulic rebuild experience.
Assembly Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
·review/inspect parts for use, pick from pick lists from stock
·assemble various products from diagram or work instruction, following assembly best practice methods and recommended tools - required good working level knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems
· test final product on test stand for functionality and quality inspection
· assist in crating and packaging of finished goods where applicable
· report damaged goods, missing inventory, or other quality issues to supervisors
· always observe safety protocols
· ensure workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles
· Work as an active team member to complete team goals
· Work with other staff to document processes and BOMs and update existing instructions
· Other duties as assigned
Assembly Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
· Technician degree preferred but not required where experience is there
· minimum 3-5 years experience in mechanical/hydraulic assembly
· sound understanding of electrical/electronics, harness routing and bundling
· previous tow motor and overhead crane training preferred
· Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the shift
· Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
· Able to work in a fast-paced but positive, friendly environment
· Familiarity with controller software and flashing a plus
· Able to work independently or as a part of a team
· Pays attention to detail and monitors own quality of workmanship
· Highly organized and able to assemble products efficiently
· Must always follow or be compliant with all health and safety procedures and regulations
· Technical aptitude and assembly experience is REQUIRED.
