The Chinook School Division requires a Grade Kindergarten/ Grade One full-time (1.0 FTE) teacher at Frontier School beginning as soon as possible. Frontier School is a K-to-12 school with 140 students and 10 teachers.

Qualifications:

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills;

  • A teaching philosophy that reflects a constructivist and cooperative learning approach;
  • Ability to work effectively within an environment which includes developing meaningful and productive relationships with students, parents, PLC's, professionals and community service agencies;
  • Demonstrated ability to connect with youth in a student-centered learning environment in addition to having an interest or willingness to connect with students outside of the classroom;
  • Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
  • Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
  • Successful teaching experience or training;
  • Certified as a Teacher in good standing in Saskatchewan or the ability to be certified.
