Overview

We are seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Full-Time Janitorial Staff at a newer, large strata complex. This is a contract position with full-time hours (Monday through Sunday), including weekends. Different work shifts are available. As a member of our janitorial team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the common areas of the strata complex, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain all common areas (hallways, elevators, stairwells, parking garages, lobbies, etc.)
  • Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, as well as clean windows and glass surfaces
  • Maintain washrooms by ensuring they are cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Report any maintenance issues or damage to appropriate staff
  • Ensure that all areas are cleaned and sanitized according to company guidelines
  • Ensure safe use and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Empty trash bins and ensure proper disposal of waste
  • Perform other janitorial duties as needed
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for all users of the facility.

Skills & Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial cleaning and facilities maintenance is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Physically capable of performing cleaning duties, including light lifting and moving items
  • Good communication skills to interact with staff and visitors professionally.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and safety procedures is advantageous.
  • Clear criminal record check
