Reporting to the Director, Partner Support and Services, you will work closely with the team to support projects in operations. You will ensure the smooth running and coordination of the department's activities and projects and will be the designated operational contact for projects and shows operated by our partners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Act as the single point of contact between external partners and internal teams and services of Cirque du Soleil (casting/artist management, health and safety, performance medicine, coaching, costume/makeup workshop, shipping/receiving, talent, IT, finance, legal) for any operational questions;
  • Plan, organize and coordinate the day-to-day of projects and the team in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders such as: implementation of recommendations and action plans following governance visits, follow-ups related to show reports, update of technical/artistic documentation of projects, implementation of procedures/processes (SharePoint ops, invoicing of services);
  • Coordinate and execute all department and project activities such as sporadic partner support requests, integration of new numbers, replacement of specialized equipment, and concept evolutions;
  • Write, translate, proofread, and edit various texts and documents (press releases, biographies, promotional material, marketing tools, etc.);
  • Draft, format, and prepare presentations for partners and clients while ensuring brand consistency;
  • Coordinate administrative and logistical activities related to travel for team members and project collaborators (employees, artists, designers, suppliers, etc.);
  • Follow up on expenses, budgets, contracts, and invoicing associated with projects (sporadic, creative reserves, billable CDS services, etc.);
  • Ensure planning and follow-up of designers, collaborators, freelancers, etc. for projects (e.g., creative reserve) to support partner-operated projects;
  • Ensure the production and updating of various reports, lists, and project data (sales, expenses, access, etc.);
  • Keep project historical data up to date and maintain documentation in SharePoint;
  • Provide on-site support during press conferences, events, rehearsals, etc.
  • Suggest improvement solutions and make recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and projects;
  • Ensure the implementation of processes and procedures that consider the operational realities of the projects and the department.

Qualifications:

  • College-level diploma (DEC)
  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar position, experience at Cirque an important asset.
  • Experience in the entertainment industry, touring, or circus an asset.
  • Experience in marketing or communications an asset.
  • Great autonomy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage priorities under pressure and ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated skills in: work organization, planning and problem-solving.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others.
  • Advanced knowledge of the MS Office environment, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • The nature of this role may occasionally require availability on weekends to meet project needs. Candidates must be willing to be flexible in their schedules to ensure the success of tasks and projects.
