What You'll Be Doing
As the Business Consultant, Project Delivery, you will be responsible for leading business analysis and the end-to-end delivery of work packages for campaigns and initiatives. This is a fast paced and exciting role with responsibilities that include: stakeholder engagement, requirements documentation, business case, execution delivery, risk mitigation, communication, testing, and supporting people change management. These campaigns and initiatives can span across the entire organization and require effective relationship building and partnership with key partners who are critical to success. Assignments will change over time, and the Business Consultant, Project Delivery is expected to be flexible enough to support any given assignment based on business needs.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You'll Succeed
- Project Delivery – Applying project management principles to ensure consistency, quality, and structure to the delivery of campaigns and initiatives. Making recommendations throughout the life cycle related to changes to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Collaboration and Decision Support – Lead activities to help internal partners make informed and timely decisions related to scope, requirements, technology, organization, cost, schedule etc. Motivate and inspire your project teams as you work toward a common goal and successful outcomes. Build ongoing partnerships with key clients and business partners.
- Communication – Develop compelling presentation materials to support working team and executive discussions and to articulate Workstream status. Maintain detailed risks, actions, issues and decision logs, track progress and schedule regular reviews and updates. Raise awareness and status of items through clear and timely communication.
- Problem Solving – Seeking understanding through asking questions, raising considerations, and assigning accountability for resolution to appropriate stakeholders. Demonstrating a can-do attitude and ability to be nimble.
- Analysis and Documentation – Work with Business Partners, Business Sponsor/Lead(s), Vendors, Technology partners, Stakeholder groups, and project team members, to assess and document the current state and to formulate a target state and roadmap. Present detailed business requirements and process flows aligned with CIBC's strategy and ensure all required artifacts are socialized and approved within required timelines. As assigned, participate in User Acceptance and business implementation activities.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate experience. In project delivery, product management, business analyst, etc. Experience managing initiatives end-to-end, documenting business requirements, formulating test plans and people change management tactics. You have worked on small to mid-scale, multi-faceted initiatives and understand what it takes from a client, business, and technology perspective to successfully define and deliver change within a fast paced and high-volume environment.
- You can demonstrate knowledge. Of Banking processes, products, marketing, front-office, and back-office operations, is an asset.
- You have a degree/diploma. In Business, Arts, Science, Engineering, and/or related field of study. PMP certification is an asset.
