Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and be committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for children. This role involves working closely with children, parents, and staff to support the developmental needs of each child while promoting a positive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all children, including those with working persons disabilities.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues in English; bilingual skills in French are an asset.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and adjusting programs as necessary.
  • Collaborate with special education professionals to support children with unique learning needs.
  • Maintain organized records of children's development and program activities.
  • Utilize computer operation skills for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English; proficiency in French is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of special education practices is an asset.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all children, including those with disabilities.
  • Passion for early childhood education and dedication to continuous professional development.
