Job description

A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized Ontario post-secondary institution

A registered member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators

Post diploma experience working in a licensed child care with children months of age

Experience programming in a play-based, emergent environment, supportive of children and their families

  • Experience with the CCEYA, Elect, How Does Learning Happen and the AQI
  • A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and caring personality
  • Ability to adhere to all centre policies
  • Ability to produce assessments, evaluations, portfolios and document using ELECT
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in a professional and confident manner, including ability to ensure effective and positive interactions with families, management and colleagues
  • Demonstrate mature judgment, personal accountability and diplomacy in all interactions
  • Ability to lift up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending and stooping, pushing, carrying and pulling
  • English communication skills both verbal and written are necessary
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
  • A clear health assessment, negative TB test and up to date immunization shots including COVID vaccines
  • Clear Police Reference Check within the last 6 months

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00-$28.00 per hour
