Due to strong growth in our business and continued plans for expansion, Northland Floral is looking for a **Grounds Maintenance **person. We are searching for a passionate, easygoing, and self-motivated individual to join our team to work close to the Facilities Maintenance team. **Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Maintain grounds at corporate owned facilities
- Ensure properties are free from hazards and are operationally ready at all times
- Responsible for appropriate use of company equipment and tools
- Maintaining lawn and grass areas, parking lots, loading docks, with use of large and small powered equipment as required
- Snow removal with large equipment
- Responsible maintenance of equipment
- Prepare for the summer and winter seasons, including maintaining sidewalks and general facilities
- Follow all Safety procedures and the Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) procedures
- Perform other duties as necessary for building maintenance and assigned by the Facilities Manager.
**Qualifications**:
- Operating knowledge of mechanical equipment such as tractors, forklifts, etc
- Capacity to operate machinery, hand or power tools, in a safe manner
- Ability to work outdoors in varying climates
- Ability to do some heavy lifting when required
- Fluent in English language
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work with others.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
