The Investigators Group Inc. (IGI) is a trusted provider of professional security services across Ontario. Our mission is to create safe environments for our clients through proactive security measures and exceptional customer service. We are seeking dedicated Security Guards within or near Trenton, Ontario. This role is critical in safeguarding client property, maintaining a visible security presence, and ensuring compliance with site rules and standards. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, assist with inquiries, and manage access control and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Protect client property through access control and enforcement of site rules.
  • Maintain an active, preventative security presence across patrol routes and posts.
  • Manage vehicle sign-in and access control at designated areas.
  • Conduct regular patrols and fire watches to ensure safety and security.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies and collaborate with emergency response teams.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports for emergencies and daily activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1+ year of security experience (preferred).
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License (required).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and emergency procedures.
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques.
  • Strong communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Professional, alert, and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Reliable and flexible, including availability for emergency calls.
