Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Projects, the Project Manager is responsible for the management of projects of varying size and complexity from inception through to implementation. The Project Manager may be responsible for any project related to Online Web solutions, Customer Facing applications, Point of Sale, CRM/CSR, Provisioning, IVR, IT Systems, Finance and HR applications.
The Project Manager will work with stakeholders throughout the organization and will be accountable to set project deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize projects' progress, ensuring timely and quality completion. The candidate will use analytical skills and demonstrated business acumen to not only manage timelines but to understand the impacts of decisions and actions.
Success in this role will be found in being a proven self-starter with a tenacity for leading and coordinating cross-functional teams with a results-oriented and customer centric focus. You will be adept at managing competing priorities in a very dynamic and fast-paced organization; strong, clear communication skills are critical.
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary Education in one of Computer Science, Information Technology or Project Management.
- 5+ years' experience in Software Project Management. Additional experience in business analysis is an asset.
- Ample experience delivering projects in Agile (Scrum or Kanban).
- Prior experience using Jira for planning, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria and defect management.
- Experience planning, managing and executing multiple complex projects and initiatives simultaneously through to successful completion in a timely manner.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and energize teams.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, thrives in a challenging environment.
Skills, Efforts & Attributes
- Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and managing all aspect of the project.
- Interact with internal stakeholders, project team members and 3rd party software vendors.
- Maintain and present status reports and decisions.
- Maintain a product roadmap for the application(s).
- Work with other PMs, Business Analysts, Stakeholders, QA and Developers to deliver a quality solution in a timely manner.
- Assist in team development by removing roadblocks to their work, mentoring them and making efficient utilization of organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.
- Promote empowerment of the team by ensuring that each team member is fully engaged in the project with meaningful contribution.
- The candidate will need to understand the product or service the project will provide; you will need to have business analysis skills to deep dive into the details when required to help the team with decisions.
