Summary:
The Director, Sales is responsible for driving Norseman Structures growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities across industrial sectors, including Oil & Gas, Mining, and structural steel applications. This role is focused building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders to expand revenue streams and market presence. The Director will lead strategic business development initiatives, ensure deep customer relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer solutions that create long-term value.

Key Accountabilities:
Business Development & Sales Growth
- Lead the identification, pursuit, and development of new revenue opportunities with industrial clients, including Oil & Gas, Mining, and structural steel markets.
- Build and maintain trusted, high-value relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategic account and market expansion plans to capture long-term growth opportunities.
- Work with the operational teams to position Norseman competitively in target markets.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to shape business strategies.
- Represent Norseman externally at industry events, conferences, and professional associations.
Marketing & Market Intelligence
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns, value propositions, and messaging that drive business development.
- Use market research, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to develop growth strategies.
- Support sales initiatives with marketing tools, collateral, and campaigns that enhance Norseman's visibility and positioning.
Client & Partner Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for key customers and partners, ensuring alignment with their needs and Norseman's capabilities.
- Lead negotiations and manage relationships to maximize long-term value.
- Advocate for the Voice of the Customer internally to guide product, service, and operational improvements.
Leadership & Operational Enablement
- Mentor and guide the Direct Sales team, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture
- Set team objectives, KPIs, and performance management strategies to ensure alignment with revenue and growth targets.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Proposal, Projects, Finance, Construction) to ensure seamless execution of customer solutions.
- Promote effective communication and alignment across teams to support customer satisfaction and business objectives.
- Lead recruitment, performance management, and development initiatives for the Direct Sales function
Qualifications:
- 10+ years' sales/ business development experience preferably in the industrial, O&G or mining sectors.
- A minimum of 2 years of Sales and Marketing leadership experience, preferably in project or construction management roles.
- Proven record of securing and growing major industrial accounts.
- Deep knowledge of industrial procurement, contract negotiation, and project-based sales.
- Post secondary education in a business-related or technical field an asset
