Role Description
Plan and oversee daily and weekly production schedules to meet forecasted operational demand
· Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing waste, shrink, and over-ordering
· Oversee procurement, ordering, and supplier coordination in line with budgets and usage forecasts
· Implement, monitor, and enforce food safety, sanitation, and compliance programs across the kitchen
· Maintain accurate inventory records, receiving logs, temperature logs, and traceability documentation
· Monitor food cost, labour efficiency, and key operational KPIs
· Coordinate closely with chefs, FOH, sales, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of orders and events
· Oversee equipment maintenance, storage organization, and overall kitchen layout efficiency
· Lead corrective actions related to food safety, inventory discrepancies, or operational failures
· Ensure SOPs are consistently followed, documented, and updated as operational needs evolve
Qualifications
- Proficiency in kitchen management, food preparation, and culinary operations
- Skills in team leadership, staff training, and performance management
- Knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and sanitation practices
- Experience in inventory control, ordering, and supplier communications
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality food and service standards
- Relevant certifications, such as Food Handler's Certification, are an asset
- Previous experience in the catering, hospitality, or restaurant industry is preferred
- 4+ years in corporate catering
