Part-Time Optical Sales Associate Position Available Immediately in Prince Rupert, BC.

Our Optometry clinic is excited to add a successful candidate to our team. The successful candidate should be prepared to work Part-time and be motivated to learn about eyeglasses, contact lenses and more We are willing to provide a relocation stipend for the right candidate as this job would require you to live in Prince Rupert, B.C. We will provide all optical training including materials, frame selection, lens selection, lens edging and more. Optical experience is an asset but is not mandatory for this position. This position also allows you to be actively involved in selecting frames for patients but also when the office is ordering new inventory. It is a great mix of healthcare and fashion.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

· Review Optometrist's prescriptions and orders based on medical charts

· Operate lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients

· Educate patients on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as lifestyle preferences

· Provide honest but compassionate feedback about aesthetic choices in frames

· Achieve sales goals and quotas as determined by Management while attending to patients' specific needs and desires

· Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and product variety

· Communicating with vendors

· Communicate with Optometrist(s) with questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issue

· Edging and mounting lenses with edger

· Adjusting and repairing Eyeglasses

· Selecting appropriate contact lenses and completing contact lens orders.

· Assisting store manager with analyzing optical metrics

Secondary duties include but are not limited to:

· Clinic and Optical Sanitization + Housekeeping

· Booking patient appointments

· Pre-testing or doing extended diagnostic testing for the doctors

· Answering phone calls and emails

· Shipping/receiving of parcels

· Billing 3rd party insurance carriers

Job Requirements:

· 1+ years of Retail or Sales experience.

· Excellent customer service skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to learn technology easily

· Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment

· Basic Math skills including addition, subtraction and working with integers

· Ability to effectively work as a team.

We are willing to provide a relocation stipend and help with moving costs if the successful candidate does not reside in Prince Rupert, currently.

This job comes with a base compensation package. We will be structuring a bonus/incentive package after the 90 day probationary period.

Salary: From $18-20 per hour depend on experience
