Project Engineer (Project &Control Focus)

Overview

This role is for an experienced Engineer (E5 level) who applies advanced engineering knowledge to deliver innovative design, planning, estimating, and quality management services. You'll work on medium- to high-complexity projects, ensuring work is completed safely, with quality, on time, and within budget.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Apply at least
    10 years of engineering experience
    to develop safe and effective engineering solutions.
  • Create designs, interpret specifications, analyze issues, and resolve technical challenges for medium- to highly complex assignments.
  • Support project performance by:
  • Proposing updates to plans and cost estimates
  • Recommending contractor payments
  • Preparing progress reports
  • Coordinating schedules and workflows
  • Independently analyze and solve unusual or highly technical design and field problems.

What You Need to Have

  • P.Eng.
    or
    P.Geo.
    designation with Engineers & Geoscientists BC, or eligibility for registration.
  • Ability to use
    digital sign-and-seal technology
    (e.g., Notarius).
  • Intermediate English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with
    CAD systems
    and drawing standards.
  • Ability to use standard industry
    design and analysis software
    .
  • Intermediate proficiency in
    MS Office
    (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
