The Opportunity

Deveraux Developments is seeking a Interior Design Technologist to join our team. As an Interior Design Technologist, you will work under the supervision of our experienced Design & Development team to assist in the development of our multifamily residential & mixed-use properties.

What you bring...

• Completion of an Interior Design, Architecture or related degree program, with at least 2 years of completed coursework.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Knowledge of SketchUp and/or Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and InDesign, is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Career interest in the multifamily residential construction/design industry.

You will...

• Assist with the selection of interior finishes and materials, such as paint, flooring, lighting, and cabinetry/millwork.
• Create and update detailed interior layouts, interior finishes drawings, elevations, millwork design, and finishes specifications using AutoCAD, or similar software.
• Support procurement teams with tendering and analyzing vendor proposed alternates.
• Research and source lighting, furniture, decor, and accessories to meet project needs and budget requirements.
• Collaborate with other team members, including architects, engineers, and construction teams, to ensure design intent is achieved.
• Participate in site visits and construction walkthroughs as required.
• Maintain organized records of project-related documents and communicate progress to the Design & Development team.

You must be legally eligible to work in Canada (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
