Red Deer, Alberta, Canada Fleet Works Full time

I am posting this under my existing account of my business in Calgary, but this ad if for a separate business that is located in Red Deer.

We are the landlord / owners of the facility located at 70 Queens Drive, Red Deer. The previous tenant has gone out of business and left behind equipment that needs to be removed and sold off. We are looking for someone that can document the equipment, research the value of the equipment, and post it online for sale.

This would be a part time and temporary position until the time that the equipment is all liquidated or removed from the facility either for scrap or to be put into storage.

This would be a flexible position, about 20 hours per week, over about a 2 month period. This would be a good position for a student or someone looking for a second job. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect equipment and record all relevant details, including make, model, serial numbers, specifications, condition, and notable defects
  • Capture high‑quality photos and videos that accurately represent each item.
  • Tag, label, and organize equipment for easy tracking and retrieval.
  • Create clear, detailed, and professional listings for online marketplaces (e.g., Kijiji, Facebook Marketplace, eBay, industry‑specific platforms)
  • Write accurate descriptions that highlight key features, condition, and value.
  • Upload photos, documentation, and supporting files as needed.
  • Update listings based on price changes, inquiries, or new information.
  • Remove or archive listings once items are sold.

  • Respond to basic inquiries about listed equipment (specs, availability, condition).

  • Coordinate with the landlord on pricing, promotions, or listing strategy.
  • Track listing performance and recommend improvements to increase visibility and conversions.
  • Maintain accurate digital records of all listed equipment.
  • Ensure all items are tracked from listing to sale.
  • Reconcile physical inventory with online listings to prevent discrepancies.
  • Some facility management tasks. Coordinating facility access for repairs and inspections by other businesses. Keeping the facility clean and clutter free.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to document technical information clearly and consistently.
  • Comfortable working with online marketplaces and listing tools.
  • Basic photography skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple listings at once.
  • Familiarity with equipment, tools, machinery, or automotive components is an asset.
  • Strong written communication skills.

Work Environment

  • Office located at the facility and equipment located in the warehouse / shop.
  • Mix of physical tasks (inspection, photography) and computer‑based work (listing, documentation).
  • Fast‑paced, accuracy‑driven environment where clean documentation supports sales and customer trust.

  • Working independently as landlord won't be on site the majority of the time.
