- Develop and maintain demand forecasts based on repair volumes and failure trends
- Maintain organized, ESD-safe inventory rooms and storage areas
- Control surplus, slow-moving, and obsolete stock, including inventory held in external storage
- Perform regular cycle counts, stock checks, and inventory reconciliations
- Proactively minimize repair downtime caused by part shortages, long lead-time items, or inventory inaccuracies
- Quality Control & Warranty Support
- Conduct quality audits on repaired units to verify workmanship, functionality, and compliance with internal standards
- Support incoming inspection of electronic components and assemblies
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) for new, alternate, or revised parts
- Review and manage PPAP-style supplier approval documentation where applicable
- Ensure parts meet electrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements before release for repair use
- Support failure analysis and root cause investigations for repeat or critical defects
- Lead deep-dive analysis of warranty claims to identify trends and systemic issues
- Prepare quality, failure, and warranty reports for internal review and customer communication
- Interface with customers on quality findings, corrective actions, and repair reliability
- Work with suppliers and internal teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Experience in electronic component purchasing and indirect procurement
- Strong negotiation skills across pricing, terms, and supply agreements
- Understanding of electronics repair environments and quality expectations
- Experience with First Article Inspection and supplier approval processes
- Ability to interpret datasheets, schematics, BOMs, and test results
- Strong inventory control and reconciliation skills
- High attention to detail with disciplined documentation practices
- Proficient with ERP systems, inventory tools, and Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to PPAP, supplier quality management, or structured CAPA processes preferred
