Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Truck Driver to join our logistic team. This role involves safely operating commercial truck to transport freight across Newfoundland, ensuring timely pickup and deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of freight handling, vehicle maintenance, and safety protocols, contributing to the efficient operation of our transportation services.
Description
- Pay per mile, average of miles/week
- LTL, TL, Long Haul
- Newfoundland only, 5 days on road and 2 home
- Paid for all customer pickup and deliveries
- Paid for wait time at customer locations ( for 1+ hour)
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks for regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
Requirements
- Valid class 1 license with a clean abstract
- 12 months viable experience including winter driving
- Clean criminal record
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $1,400.00-$1,800.00 per week
