Job Summary
The Systems Support Analyst is responsible for playing a key role in testing and validation of new system features, enhancements, and integrations, ensuring they meet operational and technical requirements before deployment. In addition, this role provides day-to-day support for WMS/YMS operations by troubleshooting issues, assisting end users, and ensuring timely resolution of system incidents to minimize operational disruptions.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
System Quality Assurance
- Conduct QA testing for new system technology, WMS/YMS enhancements, and system integrations.
- Perform validation of system updates, patches, and configuration changes to ensure functionality, accuracy, and stability
- Document test plans, execute test cases, analyze results, and report defects with clear replication steps
- Identify potential risks, performance concerns, or user impacts prior to deployment of new features
Systems Support
- Provide day-to-day operational support for WMS/YMS and new technologies, ensuring consistent system performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot systems and integration issues; resolve user-reported errors in a timely manner.
- Monitor system performance, proactively address recurring issues, and escalate complex technical concerns when necessary
- Assist with maintaining stability of advanced system platforms through routine checks, quality controls, and continuous improvement efforts
Documentation & Training
- Assist in documenting system changes, enhancements, and testing outcomes
- Create training materials, reference guides, and process documentation to support new features or technology rollouts
- Support end-user training on new system features, WMS/YMS functionality, and best practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with IT, Engineering, Operations, and vendor teams to support technical initiatives and resolve technical issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to identify process improvements, enhance workflows, and support operational efficiency projects
- Communicate testing progress, system issues, and resolution updates clearly and professionally
Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze system performance trends, recurring defects, and user feedback to drive improvements in overall system reliability and quality
- Contribute to the evolution of QA processes, testing frameworks, and support procedures to improve overall system resilience
Experience, Skills and Competencies:
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills with an ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment, often with tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Effective verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset
- Familiarity with WMS/YMS platforms is an asset (but not required)
- Experience with ticketing/incident management systems (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow) is a plus
- Motivated individual with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment
- Understanding of IT systems, technical support principles, and user-facing support
Working Conditions:
- May require availability during operational hours, including early mornings or evenings
- On-site support at warehouse and yard facilities is expected (hybrid possible depending on business needs)
