Job Description

At Syngenta, our goal is to create a highly collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, delivering top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta's Commercial team is looking for a Biological Field Specialist. This position has a flexible work location and can be based in the Saskatchewan area.

This is an 18-Month Contract Position.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide technical leadership to the district with a main focus on registered foliar and in-furrow biological products across all crops, as well as supporting demonstration plots for pre-commercial and commercial foliar applications.
  • Monitor and track biological demos, capturing field experiences and data for communication.
  • Provide passionate leadership on our biological products.
  • Lead demo field plots in multiple crops.
  • Follow and document the field results.
  • Deliver presentations to customers on biologicals.
  • Provide technical leadership to the sales team.
  • Support marketing material development.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, science, or commerce.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the agriculture industry, with emphasis on both the commercial and research sides of the business.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with biologicals.
  • Passion for biologicals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Interpersonal skills for influencing and delivering a message.

  • Attention to detail.
