Job Description

The principal role of the **Instrumentation Commissioning Specialist **is to deliver quality workmanship and turn over a fully functioning and operating process control from the field device to the industrial control system

**We are looking to fill Junior, Intermediate and Senior positions, refer to qualifications below.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Troubleshooting and correcting any site deficiencies on instrument related devices
- Commissioning 24vdc/120vac control loops
- Configuration and set-up of level, pressure, density, flow, and temperature devices
- Function testing and set-up of control valves, positioners and limit switches
- Completing check sheets inside Smart Completions software
- Required to interpret and redline P&IDs, control loop drawings, installation details, datasheets and calibration reports
- Communicating/collaborating with third party vendors
- Provide clearly presented solutions to deficiencies through the RFI process
- Accountable to remain on schedule and complete projects in a timely manner
- Complete and provide all calibration documentation
- Ensure quality and functionality of instrumentation installation in field

Qualifications
**Qualifications / Experience**:

- ** Junior**: minimum 2nd year electrical apprentice
- ** Intermediate**: five (5) years of experience as a journeyman electrical technician
- ** Senior**: ten+ (10+) years of experience as a journeyman electrical technician
- Preference will be given to duel ticketed (instrumentation and electrical) individuals
- Knowledge of Charms Delta V control system
- Knowledge of fire and gas analytical equipment
- In-depth knowledge of commissioning activities in a live plant
- Ability to manage and deal with ever changing job requirements
- Smart Completions experience will be considered an asset
- Trained in all required safety courses: H2S Awareness, WHMIS, CSTS (Fall Protection and Aerial Lift training considered an asset)
- Minimum class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record

**Physical Requirements**:

- Field, office, and shop environment
- Comfortable working at heights
- Exposed to work site hazards while performing tasks
- Capable of lifting objects up to 50 lbs with aid as required

Additional Information

This job is Lloydminister based but must be flexible to travel throughout western Canada.
