This role involves delivering personalized care with professionalism, patience, and empathy to promote independence and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, especially when working with individuals with dementia or disabilities

Requirements

  • Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with people with disabilities is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
  • Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion and patience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid certification or training in medication administration is a plus but not mandatory
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; reliability is essential
