Nanny/Caregiver

Overview

We are seeking a caring and responsible full-time nanny to provide attentive childcare and support for our family in Victoria, British Columbia. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment while assisting with daily routines, activities, and basic household tasks. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children, excellent caregiving skills, and the ability to adapt to different family needs. Prior experience with children and a compassionate attitude are essential for success in this position.

Duties

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote development and fun
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks, ensuring nutritional needs are met
• Assist with homework, reading, or educational activities to support learning
• Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing light cleaning tasks related to children's spaces
• Administer basic caregiving duties such as diapering, dressing, and bedtime routines
• Provide transportation to activities or appointments as needed
• Communicate effectively with parents about daily activities, concerns, or special needs

Skills

• Experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds
• Strong caregiving abilities with patience, empathy, and reliability
• Ability to cook simple meals and prepare snacks for children
• Skills in cleaning and maintaining a tidy environment in children's areas
• Teaching skills or experience in early childhood education is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and children
