About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Services Representative (Administrative Support) to join our Agency Bill Team

In this exciting and varied role, you will be responsible for posting payments, collection and scanning of mail, maintenance of central inbox and supporting the Agency Bill Team. The Agency Bill team will count on you to ensure payments are processed efficiently and accurately.

This position requires five (5) days a week on-site in office.

What you'll do here:

• Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of broker payment for agency bill and direct bill commission.

• Maintain central inbox and distribute emails to Agency Bill Team members.

• Prepare and process bank deposits in conjunction with payments received, including verifying deposit totals with amounts posted to the accounting system.

• Opens, sorts and distributes incoming mail, cheques and faxes.

• Prepare, compile and dispatches documents such as invoices, statements, reports and cheques.

• Review electronic payments and distribute to team members to reconcile.

• Sort and mail company statements through courier and regular mail.

What you bring to the table:

• Strong customer service attitude to maintain favorable business relationships and negotiate tactfully with brokers and underwriters.

• Past experience with data entry considered an asset

• Detailed oriented, highly organized and prioritize the workload

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong computer skills including advanced Excel skills

• A good understanding of fundamental accounting concepts

• Resourceful and able to deal with tight deadlines at month-end

• No Canadian work experience required but must have authorization to work in Canada.
