Duties

  • Safely operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse.
  • Perform order picking accurately using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.
  • Assist with inventory management by organizing stock locations and maintaining accurate records of materials moved.
  • Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring proper placement for easy access and safety compliance.
  • Use basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse layout and improve overall workflow.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including heavy lifting techniques and equipment operation guidelines.

Experience

  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • Familiarity with clamp trucks, order pickers, and other material handling equipment.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to forklift maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory control and order processing.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding setting.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and data entry accuracy.
  • Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates committed to safety and efficiency.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Work Location: In person
