Montebello Medical is a well-established family practice offering comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient panel of approximately 2,000 individuals. The clinic operates with the support of experienced clerical staff and two dedicated receptionists, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent patient service. The practice includes three other family physicians, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. There are two well-equipped offices available for consultations, and the clinic utilizes the Med Access EMR system to support efficient and coordinated patient care.
Job DescriptionMontebello Medical is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage for the following dates:
- Dec 24th 2025 to Jan 9th, 2026.
Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.
Qualifications- All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- All family physicians must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
