Course Information

This course focuses on behaviour-analytic approaches to education and instruction with a focus on adult learning. Students will critically examine theory and evidence about learning in adults and measure individual and program-level outcomes. Opportunities to design and evaluate educational materials will be embedded in course activities.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for all activities associated with the successful delivery of the course, including but not limited to: developing, preparing, and delivering the course; setting and marking examinations, assessing the academic work of students, and reporting grades.

Qualifications

Candidates must have an EdD or PhD, with a doctoral degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or a closely related field with specialized expertise in ABA. Knowledge of contemporary theoretical and practical approaches in behaviour analysis, evidence-based interventions, and their application across diverse contexts is required. A demonstrated capacity for excellence in instruction for online adult learners is essential. Experience in the specific course area is required and successful online doctoral teaching experience is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate commitment to culturally responsive behavioral practice and an understanding of ethical considerations in ABA. Equity-deserving candidates are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and educational outcome measurement is required. Experience in designing and evaluating educational materials using behavior-analytic approaches and measuring both individual and program-level outcomes is required. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in higher education settings and expertise in applying behavior-analytic principles to adult learning contexts.

In this role, successful candidates are expected to:

• Collaborate with Program Manager, Academic Coordinator, and faculty colleagues for course development, synchronous learning opportunities, and sharing resources.
• Mentor and guide students through course activities to support student success with a student-centered approach.
