THE ROLE
We are actively looking for an Intern Analyst, Portfolio Construction to join our team in Summer 2026, for a 4-month internship
(May 2026 – August 2026)
. This role will be part of a growing and dynamic Investment team, reporting into the Managing Director of Portfolio Construction & Investment Risk. The incumbent will provide support to the team in the data management of UPP's risk system, facilitate risk reporting, portfolio monitoring and investment research. The individual will work closely and take guidance with members of the team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an eager and curious candidate to gain valuable work experience in a fast-growing, dynamic environment while being a part of a new organization.
This role is based in downtown Toronto under a hybrid work policy, allowing employees the flexibility to work remotely and in-office (minimum of two days per week in-office).

Specific Accountabilities
- Support the improvement in data accuracy across multiple sources within our risk system.
- Support and facilitate risk reporting to senior management and executive team.
- Building and development of total fund analytical tools.
- Work in partnership with other departments such as Data & Technology and Investment Operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree, in Computer Science, Finance or a related field.
- Proficient in programming (e.g., VBA, Python, Matlab).
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Possesses basic knowledge of and a keen interest in finance.
