Staff DevOps Engineer
Location: On-site, 5 days/week in Ottawa, Canada
Type: Full-time
Compensation: CA$150K–$250K + competitive equity

The Role
As a Staff DevOps Engineer, you'll own infrastructure from day one. You'll work hands-on to design, automate, and scale systems that make AI safe, fast, and reliable in production. This is a builder role for a senior engineer who wants to move quickly and own key outcomes.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and scale secure, high-performance infrastructure on Google Cloud

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable shipping

  • Partner with engineers to productionize ML systems and support experimental workflows

  • Monitor, secure, and optimize environments for performance and scalability

  • Bring DevOps best practices into a fast-moving, AI-first environment

What You Bring

  • 10+ years in DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering

  • Deep GCP experience—compute, networking, security, and data services

  • Proven success running ML/AI systems in production

  • Startup mindset: speed, ownership, and comfort in ambiguity

  • Track record of high-impact, shipped work across environments

  • Desire to grow in a tight, high-talent team where every contribution matters

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience supporting AI or LLM-heavy infrastructure

  • Exposure to CI/CD tooling, observability platforms, or GCP-native ML services

  • Previous role in a high-trust startup or high-growth product environment
