Overview

The Kitchen Helper plays a vital role in supporting the culinary team within a restaurant or hospitality setting. This position involves assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food service and a desire to contribute to a positive dining experience for guests.

Duties

  • Assist chefs and cooks in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area by washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and ensuring that all ingredients are stored correctly.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards to ensure safe food handling practices at all times.
  • Support the kitchen staff during peak hours by performing various tasks as needed to keep operations running efficiently.
  • Participate in kitchen setup and breakdown before and after service.
