Purpose
The Senior Associate will report directly to the Practice Lead, collaborating with other subject matter experts to consult with clients, perform examinations and testing, and prepare technical reports in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Perform site examinations and document reviews; communicate findings clearly to colleagues and clients.
- Report to the Civil/Structural Team and work closely with the Practice Lead on performance, professional development, and team goals.
- Prepare structural calculations, simulations, and technical drawings from field measurements, sketches, and other data.
- Prepare technical reports and drawings based on sound investigation and analysis.
- Manage client service deadlines, budgets, invoicing, and accounts receivable efficiently.
- Liaise directly with clients, providing regular updates throughout investigations.
- Demonstrate commitment to the firm's mission, vision, and values.
- Participate in business development and marketing activities; attend industry seminars and events.
- Manage projects in line with billing and reporting requirements, including client-based MSAs.
- Work collaboratively across teams and disciplines.
- Develop toward providing expert testimony in court.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong presentation skills (asset).
- Valid Canadian driver's license.
- Willing and able to travel throughout Canada.
