Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Litigation Lawyer located in Calgary, AB. The Associate Litigation Lawyer will handle tasks such as providing legal advice on civil enforcement and debt recovery matters, managing litigation files from inception to resolution, representing clients in court proceedings, drafting legal documents, and conducting legal research. The role will require effective collaboration with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Strong legal expertise in civil litigation, debt recovery, and enforcement
  • Excellent skills in legal research, drafting, and analysis
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication, including persuasive argumentation
  • Ability to manage multiple files, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team
  • Competence in negotiating resolutions and resolving disputes
  • Familiarity with local and national legal procedures and regulations is an asset
  • Experience in debt-related legal matters and enforcement is strongly preferred
