RSM's Management Consulting CIO Advisory practice helps clients enhance the effectiveness of their Technology & Digital functions through strategy, optimization, and transformation initiatives.

We are seeking a CIO Advisory Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will lead key workstreams on client engagements, oversee portions of project delivery, and work directly with client stakeholders and RSM leadership. You will play a hands‑on role in assessments, analyses, and solution development, while also supporting the growth and coaching of junior team members.

Responsibilities
  • Lead specific workstreams within larger digital transformation or IT strategy engagements
  • Support clients with digital strategy development, assessments, roadmap design, and emerging technology considerations
  • Conduct IT and process assessments, gather data, and synthesize findings into actionable insights
  • Develop components of target operating models and organizational improvement recommendations
  • Facilitate client meetings and workshops to gather requirements, identify pain points, and validate solutions
  • Manage day‑to‑day tasks for assigned workstreams, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and meeting engagement timelines
  • Evaluate business processes, technology capabilities, and organizational structures to identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop clear, client-ready deliverables such as reports, presentations, process maps, and recommendations
  • Support user acceptance testing, technology implementation efforts, and change management activities
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to Associates and Senior Associates
  • Review documentation, analyses, and work products created by junior team members
  • Collaborate closely with Managers and Directors to ensure alignment across engagement components
  • Stay current on digital, IT, and industry trends to support advisory recommendations
  • Build familiarity with RSM's service offerings to better integrate solutions for clients
  • Contribute to internal initiatives, methodology development, or thought leadership as needed
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in technology consulting, IT strategy, digital transformation, IT operations, or related fields
  • Experience supporting or leading components of digital transformation, technology enablement, or system modernization projects
  • Working knowledge of ERP, CRM, CPM, or other major enterprise platforms
  • Familiarity with IT application lifecycle, general IT controls, and technology governance concepts
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation capabilities
  • Experience overseeing portions of project work or guiding junior team members
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Project, and Word; familiarity with SQL or Access is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% throughout North America
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, PMP, or TOGAF
  • Exposure to private equity or M&A environments
  • Experience in industries such as Industrials, Government, TMT, Business & Professional Services, Consumer Products, Real Estate, or Life Sciences
  • Understanding of enterprise architecture concepts

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $88,000 - $150,

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
