RISE Thru Tubing has been providing downhole services since 2014. We're proud to have built a reputation centralized on quality service and a team of some of the top Thru Tubing personnel in Western Canada. RISE is dedicated to bringing the best skills, knowledge, and experience to the table.

RISE is currently looking for a full time Shop Technician to join our team. This position will be based out of Grande Prairie and may require some travel and on-call work (evenings/weekends).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the shop foreman with breaking down, inspecting, and reassembling tools
  • Performing safety checks on equipment, tools and vehicles as well as assisting in safety maintenance records
  • General shop duties including maintenance, cleaning, organizing, assist in inventory control
  • Pick up/deliver supplies, tools or equipment
  • Job organizing and load outs
  • Maintaining proper paperwork related to the position
  • Additional duties as assigned supervisor

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of hand and power tools
  • Proper use of PPE (training provided)
  • Communication and ability to work in a team environment and on your own
  • Understand and perform work following instructions and safe operating procedures
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Machining experience along with knowledge of operations with CNC Machine

Qualifications / Education / Experience:

  • Clean driver's abstract and class 5 or GDL license
  • CSO, H2S and First Aid are an asset,
  • Experience in thru tubing or similar industries would be an asset

Working Conditions and Physical Environment:

  • Moderate physical effort; occasional heavy lifting – Over 50lb
  • Extensive periods of sitting, standing, walking, and driving
  • Exposed to working in a high noise environment
  • Hazards associated with working on or alongside roadways
  • Normal working day consists of 8 hours; however occasional overtime may be required
