JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Lead provides trauma-informed, relationship-based clinical support grounded in Positive Behaviour Support and Applied Behaviour Analysis. This role strengthens direct support teams by offering consultation, coaching, and capacity-building that promotes safety, dignity, skill development, and meaningful participation for children and youth in community and residential settings.
Working closely with the Clinical Director and operational leadership, the Clinical Lead bridges evidence-based behavioural practice with day-to-day program delivery. Responsibilities include conducting functional assessments, supporting behaviour support and safety planning, delivering staff training, and fostering trauma-informed, person-centred approaches that enhance stability, wellbeing, and long-term success for youth and families.
This role supports multiple regions through a hybrid model that includes virtual and in-person consultation. Regional travel is expected. Remote onboarding may be available for candidates located outside of BC.
The Clinical Lead will receive ongoing supervision and mentorship from the Clinical Director, a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Sexual Health Educator. For candidates pursuing BCBA certification, this role offers access to supervised fieldwork hours that meet BACB requirements. For certified BCBAs, ongoing clinical mentorship and case consultation are provided to support continued growth and specialization.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide clinical consultation and guidance for children and youth referred to PCCR, including case file review and individualized recommendations.
- Develop and maintain transition and trauma-informed support documentation (e.g., Bridge Plans) that includes diagnoses, history, presenting concerns, legal status, goals, and team guidelines.
- Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA) and develop Behaviour Support Plans and Safety Plans as needed.
- Deliver internal training and coaching focused on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), trauma-informed care, and de-escalation strategies.
- Model best practices during onsite and virtual consultations to support skill development and consistency across teams.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, incident debriefings, and care planning processes with operational teams and external stakeholders.
- Review and provide feedback on risk assessments to ensure alignment with PCCR's standards and clinical frameworks.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation aligned with MCFD and SHSS contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with MCFD, behaviour consultants, and other external professionals to ensure coordinated service delivery.
- Support strategic development of PCCR's trauma-informed clinical frameworks in collaboration with the Clinical Director.
- Stay current with emerging research and evidence-based practices, including contextual behavioural models such as ACT and Motivational Interviewing.
All successful applicants must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check applicable to Provincial guidelines.
What We OfferCompetitive annual salary: Starting from $97,760 (based on education, experience, and BCBA certification).
Comprehensive extended health, dental, and vision coverage, including an Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) and employer-matched pension contributions.
On-the-job training and clinical mentorship under a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and Certified Sexual Health Educator, including access to supervised BCBA fieldwork hours for those pursuing certification.
Career development opportunities, including professional learning in trauma-informed practice, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
A collaborative and trauma-informed interdisciplinary team environment, where learning, reflection, and shared growth are encouraged.
A flexible hybrid work model that allows for both virtual and in-person consultation across regions, with opportunities for remote onboarding for out-of-province candidates.
At Pacific Coast Children's Resources, we believe that strong clinical leadership strengthens the care and stability we provide to children and youth across BC. We are committed to fostering a workplace that values integrity, compassion, and collaboration.
We welcome applications from Indigenous peoples, racialized individuals, persons with disabilities, members of gender and sexually diverse communities, and others with intersectional identities.
We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
