Position Summary:

  • Our client is seeking an experienced, certified Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer to join their Underwriting technology team. In this role, you will support and enhance PolicyCenter integrations, underwriting rules, and fraud-related workflows, helping them modernize and streamline core insurance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Implement and optimize Underwriting (UW) rules, workflows, and business logic.
  • Support integrations related to fraud detection, risk assessment, TransUnion, and other third-party data services.
  • Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Architecture, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across PolicyCenter modules and integration points.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Guidewire certifications (PolicyCenter focused preferred).
  • Hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter development and integration experience.
  • Strong understanding of Underwriting processes, rules, and workflows.
  • Experience with fraud risk assessment tools, TransUnion, and third-party data services.
  • Proficiency with GOSU, SOAP/REST integrations, XML, and related technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment—on-site in Guelph (preferred) with flexibility to work out of Mississauga, Toronto, or Burlington offices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Guidewire Developer
  • Insurance underwriting experience
  • Gosu
  • SOAP
